How do I create an account?
An account can be created at any Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) regional office. Click here to find the office closest to you.
I have registered with my local ISBDC but I never received login instructions.
When a new account is created, an e-mail is instantly generated by SmallBizNavigator to the account holder. You will receive an e-mail from noreply@smallbiznavigator.com with login information. Some e-mail programs will mistake this e-mail as spam and move this message into the junk e-mail folder. Contact your local ISBDC office, if you do not receive an e-mail from noreply@smallbiznavigator.com within 24 hours of registering.
I received an error message when I try to load the Excel financial statements that came with SmallBizNavigator.
Due to the complex formulas built into SmallBizNavigator’s Excel financial statements, it is important that you turn down their Macros setting to medium or low. Follow these simple steps:
1. Download and save FinancialsTemplate.xls. This file can be found in the Financial Analysis section of SmallBizNavigator.
2. Locate and open FinancialsTemplate.xls
3. If you receive an error message, click: Tools > Macro > Security and select Medium
4. Close Excel and do NOT save your changes
5. Reopen FinancialsTemplate.xls
6. Select Enable Macros in the Security Warning popup box
The Excel financial statements that came with SmallBizNavigator suddenly quit working.
The Excel financial statements used in SmallBizNavigator are licensed through a third-party provider. Every year, we are required to renew our subscription.
1. Open FinancialsTemplate.xls
2. Press Ctrl-U to view all pages.
3. Click the Use tab
4. Type EMNF9563 into cell E69. This code will need to be changes every year.
